Offshore – OSP

This grating is specifically designed for offshore applications at oil platforms. Structurally it is similar to welded grating.

The offshore pressure-welded grating is mid-range in terms of fouling resistance and anti-slip performance. It is specifically intended for offshore applications at oil platforms susceptible to formation of slip areas through oil spillage. Structurally it is designed similar to welded grating. It has an additional rod welded between the bearing bars and parallel to them, intended to prevent penetration of small objects through the grating. For example, certain specifications require that a 15mm ball should not be able to go through the grill.

The grating is made from hot-dip galvanised carbon steel. Generally, zinc coating here is thicker: up to 125 μm according to the order.

Robust, easy to use and maintain, this high-performance material helps to solve various challenging tasks. Nevertheless, it is not a perfect cost solution due to its heaviness, complicated handling and basic application scope.
