Press-locked Gratings

Press-locked grating may be constructed from carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminium. Here the close-tolerance slots are computer-cut in the bearing bars to accommodate cross bars pressed therein by tremendous pressure. The concentrated pressure load applied to the crossing points reaches up to 5000 kN.

Finished grating modules are edged with T-bars or a standard plate bar, right-angle resistance-welded flush to the grating surface.

The main difference between press-locked grating and pressure-welded grating is in wider applicability of the latter due to fundamentally different joint connection technologies.

Similar to pressure-welded grating, press-locked grating may be used to make step surfaces for spiral and straight stairs. Like pressure-welded grating, press-locked grating is hot-dip galvanised to improve corrosion resistance.

Besides, decorative wall and fencing solutions is a not less promising and fascinating application for press-locked metal grating. Using it for façade and exterior trimming provides not only exclusive design, but also structural benefits of the materials as a load bearing element.

Press-locked grating can be used in chemical, petroleum, gas, shipbuilding and automotive industries, as industrial flooring, scaffolding, general-purpose steel structures.
