Offshore – OSP

These gratings are designed to work on offshore oil platforms. By design they are similar to press welded gratings. Offshore-type press welded cover gratings have very good anti-slip and anti-fouling properties.

These gratings are manufactured specifically for use on oil platforms, in the open sea, where there may be a risk of slipping due to a possible oil spill. In addition, a rod parallel to them is welded between the bearing bars, which prevents small objects from falling through the grating.

For example, one of the requirements is that a 15 mm diameter ball must not fall through the grating.

The gratings are made from carbon steel which is subsequently hot-dip galvanised. As a rule, the zinc coating thickness on such gratings is higher and can reach up to 125 μm at the customer's request.

Thanks to such a combination of properties as strength, and simplicity in use and maintenance, this functional material can solve many complex tasks.
